Your assistant
Everything on this page is done by one worker: a personal assistant that belongs to you inside this workspace.Creating it
The first time you open Tactics you see Create your assistant. Give it a name and press Create assistant.- The name becomes its email address on Emanate’s shared assistant domain, for example
rivet@hq.emanate.ai. The address is checked as you type (Available, or rivet is taken with a few suggestions). Use 2 to 40 lowercase letters, numbers or hyphens. - Right after creating it, the assistant reads your recent sent emails to learn how you write. You watch this happen (Studying how you write…, Read 212 of your sent emails) and it ends with Added an About-you profile to your assistant, which you can edit any time in its settings.
Its email address
You can forward, CC or email your assistant anything from day one, even before your inbox is connected. A forwarded email gets the same treatment the Agent Inbox tactic gives new mail; a question gets an answer in the same thread. Every brief, digest and sweep a tactic sends you comes from this address, and you can reply to any of them. Your assistant only ever writes back to you. It never emails a customer, a prospect or a colleague.Assistant Settings
Settings opens a dialog with five tabs. This dialog is the one place in Tactics with explicit Save and Cancel buttons.Topics to ignore used to be set per tactic. It is now one list on your assistant, honoured by every tactic.
How every tactic page works
Each tile in the grid shows the tactic’s name, what it does and When does it launch? with a plain-language trigger. The switch on the tile turns it on or off without leaving the grid; clicking the tile opens its page. Every tactic page has the same shape:- The switch in the header turns it on. A tactic that works off your mailbox cannot be turned on until an inbox is connected (Connect your inbox to turn on!).
- Run now, where it makes sense, does a real run immediately: Send a brief now, Send a digest now, Scan recent mail, Run now, Send my briefing now.
- Activity lists every run, called a session. Open one to read What happened, a step-by-step log with the emails it read, the lookups it made and the decision it reached, plus when it ran and what set it off. Outcomes are badges such as Drafted, Briefed, Swept, Held, Needs you, Skipped or Failed.
- Settings & Info has a rail on the left. Info comes first: How it works, where it delivers, and the details (trigger, mode, mailbox, status, last activity). The other rail items are the tactic’s settings.
Connecting your inbox
Ten of the fourteen built-ins read or change your mailbox and need it connected first: Agent Inbox, Per Account Agent, The Organizer, The Archiver, Loose Ends, Deal Spotter, Email Digest, Follow-Up, Stay-in-Touch and Quote Runner. Press Connect your inbox and choose Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft. Morning Brief, Account Watch, Referral Follow-Ups and the Daily Check-In Call work without one.Shared settings
Several tactics use the same controls:- Send to: your login email or your connected inbox address. It falls back to your login email if your inbox disconnects.
- Send at and Timezone: the hour a scheduled tactic runs, in your zone. The Daily Check-In Call picks a time to the five-minute mark.
- Days: Monday to Sunday pills for the tactics that run on chosen days.
The built-in tactics
All fourteen are off until you turn them on.Tactics Library
The Tactics Library tab is a shelf shared by everyone in your workspace. When a teammate builds a custom tactic worth copying, they share it from that tactic’s page and it appears here under From your team, with who built it and how many times it has been added.- Add to your tactics copies it into your own list, turned off, so you can read it before enabling it.
- Customize opens it in the builder so you can change it before saving.
- A shared tactic is a snapshot. The author’s later edits do not change the library copy until they choose Update Shared Version. The author or a workspace admin can Remove from Library; copies people already added stay.
Admins: a teammate’s Tactics
Workspace admins see a switcher beside the page title (My Tactics, or any teammate). Pick a teammate and the whole page acts on their behalf: create their assistant, turn their tactics on or off, change settings, add a library tactic to their list. Two things stay personal: only the teammate can connect their own inbox, and only the author of a custom tactic can share it to the library.Next steps
