Loose Ends emails you each weekday evening the open loops you personally owe, with the few that cannot wait tonight on top. It reads the recent mail that involves you directly and keeps only what is yours: replies you owe, work you were assigned, and promises you made. Find it under Tactics → Loose Ends.

When it runs

At the hour you set, on the days you pick, in your timezone. The default is 5:00 PM Eastern, Monday to Friday. Press Run now to sweep immediately. Your inbox must be connected.

What you get

One email an evening, in two parts:
  • What cannot wait: a decision someone is blocked on, a reply an active waiter is owed, a promise due by tomorrow or past due. Ranked by what waiting costs, with a link to the source email behind every line.
  • Still open: everything else that is yours to move.
It drops what is not yours: FYIs, mail you were only copied on, notifications, anything already answered, and anything whose next move belongs to someone else. Items that were already on a previous evening’s list carry an age marker such as since Tue. When nothing qualifies you get one honest line saying so. Under Activity, each evening appears as Sent your loose ends with a count line such as 2 cannot wait and 5 still open, or Nothing to send. Open a row to read the email exactly as it was sent.
