The fastest way to understand Emanate is to point it at your inbox and watch it go to work. In about 15 minutes you’ll connect an email account, give Emanate a little context about your business, and see it surface the emails that need a reply today, with drafts already written in your voice.

Prerequisites

  • An Emanate account (sign up here)
  • An email account you send from (Gmail / Google Workspace or Outlook / Microsoft 365)
  • Your company website URL (used to learn your brand automatically)

Step 1: Connect your inbox

This is the one step that unlocks everything else.

Open the connect flow

During onboarding (or later from Demand in the sidebar) choose Connect inbox.

Pick your provider

Choose Google (Gmail / Workspace) or Microsoft (Outlook / Microsoft 365) and sign in. Emanate connects securely through your provider; your password is never stored.

Choose who can see it

Decide whether the inbox is just you or shared with your team. You can change this any time.
Connecting an inbox is read-and-reply access to your own mail. Emanate never sends anything on its own during setup. You stay in control of every message until you decide otherwise.

Step 2: Teach Emanate your business

Two quick pieces of context make every AI draft sound like your company instead of a generic bot.

Set up Business DNA

Go to Business DNA and enter your website URL. Emanate reads your site and fills in your company name, what you sell, your tone, and your brand look automatically. Review it and fix anything that’s off. See Business DNA.

Add your product knowledge

Go to Knowledge Base and upload the documents your team leans on: product catalogs, spec sheets, pricing guides, FAQs. Emanate draws on these when it drafts replies. See Knowledge Base.
Start with your product catalog and one FAQ. That’s usually enough context for Emanate to write useful first drafts. You can always add more later.

Step 3: Let Home triage your inbox

Open Home. This is your command center. Emanate reads your recently connected inbox and builds a short, ranked list of what deserves your attention, newest and most time-sensitive first.
  • Needs attention shows the threads Emanate thinks you should act on today.
  • Tasks are the specific things to do: reply to this email, quote this request, follow up on that quiet thread.
  • Each item explains why it surfaced, so nothing feels like a black box.

Step 4: Review and send an AI draft

Open a task that needs a reply. Emanate has usually already drafted a response for you.

Read the draft

The reply appears in the composer, written in your voice and grounded in the thread, your knowledge base, and past emails.

Edit if needed

Tweak anything you like. When you edit an AI draft, Emanate quietly learns your preferences for next time.

Send or stage

Send it now, or stage it as a draft in your real inbox to send later. That’s a full loop (request in, reply out) without leaving Emanate.

Troubleshooting

Home builds its first list from a snapshot of your recent mail, which can take a few minutes after you connect. Give it a moment and refresh. If it’s still empty, confirm the inbox connected successfully under Demand.
Fill in your Business DNA and add a few documents to your Knowledge Base. That context shapes tone and content. Drafts also improve as you edit them, because Emanate learns from your changes.
You don’t have to. By default every reply waits for you to review and send. Automatic sending is an option you turn on deliberately, per inbox. See Channels.
