From RFQ to quote
1
An RFQ arrives
A customer emails a quote request: the part numbers, quantities, tolerances, delivery dates, and any attachments.
2
Emanate reads it
The agent reads the email and its attachments (including PDFs, spreadsheets, and engineering drawings) and pulls out the line items and requirements.
3
A quote is drafted
Emanate assembles a structured quote from what it found, and drafts a reply to the customer acknowledging the request.
4
You review it
The draft quote appears on the Quotes tab. Check the line items, adjust tolerances, lead time, or margin, and confirm.
5
It goes to your ERP
Submit the quote and Emanate enters it into your connected ERP, even portals that have no API, using a Computer-Use workflow that drives the screen for you and records what it did.
Quote with Ray
Anywhere you’re building or refining a quote, Ray, Emanate’s AI assistant, is there to help. Ask it to pull pricing, check a spec against your catalog, or draft the customer-facing note, right alongside the quote.Reviewing and tracking quotes
The Quotes tab is the home for every request that’s come in:- Status at a glance: pending, submitted, failed, or rejected for each quote.
- Search by part number, classification, or tolerance.
- Volume and success metrics: quotes by week and how many made it through cleanly.
- Who submitted it: each quote shows the team member who sent it.
Editing after submission
Submitted quotes stay editable. Adjust a line item after the fact and Emanate captures the change as a teach signal: it learns from your correction so future quotes on similar requests come out closer to right the first time.Retrying a stuck quote
If a submission fails or gets stuck on the way to the ERP, retry it from the UI. Built-in duplicate protection makes sure an already-approved quote isn’t accidentally submitted twice.Quotes and your accounts
Every submitted quote links back to the matching account automatically, matched by customer number and email domain, so quoting activity shows up in that account’s history. New customers who quote for the first time get an account created for them, timestamped to when the quote came in. See Accounts.Setting up quoting
Quoting runs through your ERP connection. Set that up once under Integrations (connect the system and run a connection test) and the Quotes flow lights up.Next steps
