A Lead is a prospective company you haven’t qualified yet. Leads are where new relationships start. You bring companies in, Emanate fills in the details and scores them against your ideal customer, and the good ones graduate into Accounts you actively manage. Open Leads in the sidebar to work your list.

Where leads come from

What Emanate does with a lead

1

Enrich

Fill in the missing details (industry, revenue, employee count, direct contacts, decision-makers) so the record is complete without manual research. See Enrichment.
2

Score

Rate how well the lead fits your ideal customer, as a Grade and a Heat rating, with an explanation. See ICP Scoring.
3

Act

Enroll the promising ones in a Sequence, or work them from your list.
4

Convert

When a lead is qualified, convert it into an Account. The company record and all its contacts carry over, with history intact.

Working the list

The Leads table is built for scanning and slicing a large book:
  • Saved views: save a set of filters, sorts, and columns as a named view you can jump back to.
  • My Inbox scope: a personal view that hides leads other reps have claimed, so you see only what’s yours.
  • Search and filter: by company, domain, industry, score, or any custom field.
  • Column picker: show the columns that matter for the work you’re doing.

Custom fields

Add columns of any type (text, number, date, single-select, multi-select) from the column picker. Custom fields become available in the table (filterable and sortable), the lead drawer (editable inline), the filter builder, and Segments for targeting.

Session-scoped columns

Custom columns belong to the import session that created them (up to 10 per session), so each import’s domain-specific fields stay scoped to that batch instead of cluttering the global table. A session view gives full read/write on its columns; the All Leads view shows the union of everyone’s columns read-only.

Duplicate detection

When a new lead’s domain matches one already in your workspace, the newcomer is flagged for review. Open the Duplicate Review dialog to Keep Separate, Merge (folds one into the other, preserving fields, tags, and contacts), or Delete.
