# Metrics

> Dashboards that track your revenue performance over time

**Metrics** is the at-a-glance view of how you're doing. Where [Intelligence](/intelligence/overview) answers specific
questions on demand, Metrics gives you the standing dashboards, the numbers you check every week without having to
ask.

Find it under **Observe → Metrics** in the sidebar.

## What you'll see

* **Headline KPIs:** the numbers that matter for your motions, with period-over-period trend indicators so you can see what's up and what's down.
* **Volume over time:** how activity is trending across the weeks.
* **Peak-activity heatmap:** when your team and your customers are most active.
* **Performance breakdowns:** compare results across people, inboxes, sequences, or time periods.

## Filtering

Every dashboard filters by **date range** and by **person**, so managers can look at the whole team or drill into one
rep, and anyone can zoom into a specific window.

## Insights

Alongside the raw dashboards, Emanate surfaces **AI-generated insights**: plain-language observations about what's
trending, what looks unusual, and where to focus. Think of them as a starting read on the numbers, with the deeper
"why" one question away in [Intelligence](/intelligence/overview).

## Metrics vs the rest of Observe

* **Metrics:** the standing scorecard.
* **[Intelligence](/intelligence/overview):** ad-hoc questions the dashboards don't pre-answer.
* **[Logs](/logs/overview):** the individual conversations behind the numbers.
* **[Email Insights](/demand/email-insights):** email-specific response times and account coverage.
