# Quote Runner

> Turns the quote requests in your inbox into quotes in your ERP or CRM, staged for your approval

**Quote Runner** turns the quote requests in your inbox into quotes in your ERP or CRM, staged for your approval.
It reads the request, finds the customer and the parts, and puts a quote in front of you. Nothing is priced into
your system or sent to the customer until you approve it. Find it under Tactics → Quote Runner.

## When it runs

Every time an email that reads as a quote request arrives in your connected inbox. There is no Run now button. Your
inbox must be connected, and your workspace needs an ERP or CRM connected under Integrations for the quote to
have somewhere to go.

## What it does with a request

<Steps>
  <Step title="Reads the request">
    Pulls the line items out of the email, an attached drawing, or a scanned RFQ.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Finds the customer and parts">
    Matches the sender to an account and each line to a part in your catalog. A line it cannot match is staged
    flagged, never guessed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Stages it for you">
    The quote appears on the Quotes tab for you to edit, Approve or Reject. Approving writes it into the
    system you chose.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Settings

| Section | Setting | What it does | Default |
| - | - | - | - |
| **Where quotes go** | The system a quote is written into | One card per ERP or CRM connection in your workspace. A CRM card reads Create an opportunity in followed by the CRM's name. Each shows whether it is Ready to write or what is still missing. Quotes are staged for you either way; this is where an approved one lands. | Nothing chosen |
| **How it works** | Send to your ERP without review | Off means every quote waits here for your approval. On means quotes go straight into your system. Only available once the chosen connection is ready to write. | Off |

If nothing is connected yet the section reads Nowhere to send quotes yet with a Go to Integrations button.
Pricing rules and field mappings are set up on the ERP connection itself, not here; see [Quotes](/demand/quotes).

## What you get

* **Quotes**: the review table. Each staged quote says AI prepared this for your review. Approve to send to your
  ERP. Edit lines, then Approve or Reject. If the connection is not ready to write, approved quotes stay
  here until an admin finishes the setup.
* **Activity**: every request it read, with the customer, the number of lines and the outcome, such as Staged a
  quote for your approval, 3 lines or Nothing to quote here. Open a run to read what it did and jump to the
  quote.

Quote Runner never emails the customer. The reply, if any, is yours to write.
