# Key Concepts

> The vocabulary you'll see across Emanate, grouped by area

A quick tour of the terms that show up throughout Emanate. Each one links to where it's covered in depth.

## Home

### Agent Inbox

Your **Home** page. Instead of a raw list of unread mail, it shows a short, ranked list of what actually needs your
attention today, with drafts already written. See [Agent Inbox](/home/agent-inbox).

### Digital Twin

An AI model of how *you* work: your priorities, your writing style, what you tend to reply to and what you ignore.
Each morning it reads your inbox, ranks what's urgent, and pre-drafts replies in your voice. It learns from what you
act on and what you dismiss. See [Agent Inbox](/home/agent-inbox).

### Signal

A single item worth your attention (usually an email thread) surfaced with a reason ("waiting 3 days for a reply,"
"quote request," "deal going quiet").

### Task

An action staged from a signal: reply to this, quote that, follow up here. Tasks live in Home and you clear them as
you go.

### Tactic

A hands-off play your personal AI assistant runs for you: a morning brief, automatic follow-ups, warm check-ins.
See [Tactics](/home/tactics).

## Inbound

### Demand

The email workspace where all your connected inboxes come together: read, reply, quote, and see email analytics in
one place. See [Demand](/demand/overview).

### Inbox

An email account you connect to Emanate (Gmail/Google or Outlook/Microsoft), personal or shared with your team.

### Email Agent

The AI that reads incoming mail on a connected inbox and drafts replies, following the rules you set (draft-only or
auto-reply, escalation triggers, tone). Configured under [Channels](/channels/overview).

### Quote

A structured price response created from an incoming request (RFQ). Emanate reads the request (including PDFs and
drawings), drafts the quote, and can push it to your ERP for you to review. See [Quotes](/demand/quotes).

### Workflow

An autonomous flow that classifies incoming email and routes it to the right place, or drives a system that has no
API on your behalf (like building a quote in a portal). See [Workflows](/workflows/overview).

## Growth

### Lead

A prospective company you haven't qualified yet: imported, added by hand, or arriving through inbound. See
[Leads](/leads/overview).

### Account

A company you've decided to manage as an ongoing relationship: a customer, partner, or known counterparty. Accounts
hold contacts, orders, deals, and activity history. See [Accounts](/accounts/overview).

### Contact

A person at a lead or account. The [Contacts](/contacts/overview) page is the directory of every person across your book.

### Enrichment

Automatically filling in missing details (industry, revenue, employee count, direct contacts, decision-makers) so
your records are complete without manual research. See [Enrichment](/leads/enrichment).

### AI Score (Grade & Heat)

Emanate's read on how well a lead or account fits your ideal customer, expressed as a **Grade** (A–D) and a **Heat**
rating (Burning → Cold), with an explanation of why. See [ICP Scoring](/leads/icp-scoring).

### Segment

A defined audience (by industry, size, region, or custom traits) used to target outreach and discovery. See
[Segments](/segments/overview).

### Sequence

A multi-step outreach cadence across email and LinkedIn that runs automatically once you enroll contacts. See
[Sequences](/sequences/overview).

### Expand

A discovery workspace that finds net-new prospects and look-alike companies, scored by how well they match, ready to
push into a sequence. See [Expand](/expand/overview).

### Opportunity

A deal in your pipeline, tracked by stage on a board. See [Opportunities](/opportunities/overview).

### Monitor

A saved watch that scans the web (or a set of accounts) for signals you care about: funding, hiring, leadership
changes, competitive moves. See [Monitors](/monitors/overview).

### AutoPilot

A daily, per-rep feed that drafts the day's outbound work (an Expand search, a segment, a sequence, a monitor, and
an account review), each as a card you review and apply. See [AutoPilot](/autopilot/overview).

### Win-Back

Detection of accounts that have gone quiet or shifted spend away from you, with ready-made re-engagement outreach.
See [Win-Back](/accounts/winback).

## Observe

### Intelligence

Your AI data analyst. Ask questions about your accounts, deals, and conversations in plain English and get charts and
answers back. No spreadsheets required. See [Intelligence](/intelligence/overview).

### Logs

The full history of your interactions: email threads and the behind-the-scenes AI activity that produced your drafts.
See [Logs](/logs/overview).

### Metrics

Dashboards that track performance across your revenue motions over time. See [Metrics](/metrics/overview).

### Map

Your accounts and leads plotted geographically, so you can see and filter your book by location. See [Map](/map/overview).

## Resources

### Business DNA

Emanate's understanding of your brand: who you are, what you sell, your tone, and your visual identity. It shapes
every AI-written message. See [Business DNA](/business-dna/overview).

### Knowledge Base

The documents Emanate draws on when answering questions and drafting replies: catalogs, spec sheets, pricing, FAQs.
See [Knowledge Base](/knowledge-base/overview).

### Integration

A connection to a system you already run on: your CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce), your ERP (for quoting), or your
accounting software. See [Integrations](/integrations/overview).

### Custom Action

A tool you let your AI agents call: an inventory lookup, a pricing check, a calendar booking. See
[Custom Actions](/custom-actions/overview).

### Ray

Emanate's built-in AI assistant, on hand wherever you draft, answer, or quote. See [Ray](/ray/overview).
