# Expand

> Discover net-new and look-alike prospects, scored by fit, and push them into outreach

**Expand** is Emanate's prospect-discovery workspace. Describe who you're looking for in plain English (or start from
a [segment](/segments/overview)) and Expand finds companies that match, scores each on how well it fits, and hands
you a list you can push straight into outreach.

Open **Expand** in the sidebar.

## How it's laid out

| View        | What it is                                                                                                                         |
| ----------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Library** | Your saved searches, each a card showing the segment or criteria, a preview, status, and who created it, filterable by All or Mine |
| **Results** | The companies a search surfaced, with a **Match Score** column and bulk actions                                                    |

## Running a search

    Open the search drawer and write a plain-English prompt: the kind of company, the industry, the size, the signals that matter. Or start from an existing segment.

  <Step title="Let Expand find matches">
    Emanate searches across sources and returns companies that fit, each with a Match Score so the best rise to the top.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the results">
    Scan the Results table, sort by Match Score, and select the companies worth pursuing.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send to outreach">
    Use **Send to Sequence** to promote the ones you pick into real leads and enroll them in a cadence, in one motion.

## From discovery to outreach

Expand is designed to flow directly into [Sequences](/sequences/overview):

* **Send to Sequence** promotes selected companies into canonical leads, drafts a sequence tailored to the search, and lands them in your list, a single action from discovery to enrolled.
* **Generate a sequence from a search:** open a saved Expand search and have Emanate draft a full multi-step
  sequence matched to the persona and intent, pre-populated and ready to review.

## No duplicates

Every prospect Expand proposes is checked against your existing CRM and your past searches, so it surfaces companies
you don't already have, not the ones already in your book.
